Here are a few scenes from this afternoon's book swap. The children from both first and second grades came together to discuss how having a book swap with friends is just one more way to be green. Why buy new books when you can borrow or trade? Then we took our time checking out all the books brought in the past week or so - so many choices! Stories that were enjoyed by someone else in the room, but no longer wanted - now donated to be someone else's book.
Everyone seemed delighted with their new books, and many made bookmarks to go along with them.
