February Events - Mark Your Calendars!

There's a lot of fun packed into a short month, made even shorter by mid-winter break! Please make note of all the special dates and events in February.

On Friday, February 2, we will be heading to County Farm Park with Naturalist Kelsey for our Winter science and nature hike. Bundle up!

Friday, February 9 is a BIG day! We will lead the Friday morning meeting. We are planning to have the whole school join us in one of our favorite meditations, the Secret of the Heart Chamber. We then have a special surprise for each one of our schoolmates.

Friday will also be our Valentine exchange! I will be sending out an email with each child's name to all families. Please bring in signed valentines on this day - homemade or store-bought, it doesn't matter. Treats are fine, but please - make them non-edible. Collection boxes will be purchased by me, and will be decorated at school on Thursday.

Also on Friday the 9th, we will have our annual K-4 skating party at Buhr Park! This will happen in the morning - we have the rink reserved from 10:15 - 11:15. Please join us if you can.

Monday, February 12 - Friday, February 16 is Mid-Winter Break

Friday, February 23 - We will be heading back to Wild Swan Theater to see Under the African Sky.

Wednesday, February 28 - the 100th Day of School! We will be collecting 100 cans of food for the 100th day of school. As we have for many years now, this is a special way of giving back to our community. Collection boxes will soon be found outside both Grace's and Susan's classrooms.
