Earth Day Tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Earth Day! In celebration of this important day, the K/1/2 classes decorated Trader Joe's grocery bags with earth-friendly messages. You may want to shop at TJ's tomorrow for two important reasons - you could be one lucky person who gets a special bag for your groceries! (It doesn't hurt to ask your check-out person, who knows?) The second reason is that with every purchase, Trader Joe's will be giving a way a white pine sapling to plant.

We will also do a ceremonial tree planting at our school at the end of the school day. The children got to choose from several different varieties, and popular vote went to the Sugar Maple.

These activities count as our April "Environmental Super Hero" project, although we are ALWAYS trying to think of way to save our "wold".
