Howell Nature Center

Today your children spent hours outside in the woods having all sorts of adventures. Tonight, I expect very tired children asleep soon after coming home (if they even made it home without clunking out in the car).

A million thanks to our parent volunteers. We had so many lovely families represented today - helping to keep all our students happy and safe.

This is one of our favorite events of the year. Our day at Howell Nature Center teaches children respect of nature, self confidence, and team building. Here is just a small peek of what happened today:

Zip Line was our first activity, and nearly all children's favorite.

Here we are learning about animals by examining their pelts.

We learned how to build fires - not as easy as it looks, but we did it!

Teams of children build shelters. I knew they would be great at this as they get lots of practice each recess!
