What's in YOUR pellet?

On Tuesday, October 14, we will be dissecting owl pellets to learn more about predators/prey and food chains and webs. I am hoping we find the skulls of voles, moles, and mice or rats. We will be doing this special activity as a whole school project, with younger children paired with older children. Each pair of children will share one pellet. In past years, this has proved to be a very interesting and popular science activity.

We will also read a few owl stories and information books tomorrow - and I signed our group up to do an owl activity at Howell Nature Center as well.
