Thank you for your participation in our December fundraiser for Jane Goodall's organization, Roots and Shoots! Each and every parent from our 2/3 classroom purchased at least one reusable grocery bag, and I also had special help from Jau-Wen Tseng, Cecelia Ponce de Leon and Karen Bayoneto.
The kids worked hard tie-dying a total of 80 bags. They also made an informative display board about the pros and cons of plastic, paper and cloth grocery bags. This afternoon, we also watched a DVD about Jane Goodall and her important work with chimpanzees.
