Pajama Count - Thank You, Good People

Right before counting the pajamas from our P.J. drive, I read a sweet book, Good People, Everywhere. It is a sweet and calming book reminding all of us that our everyday world is filled with goodness. Most people ARE caring and have good intentions. We can all find ways to show gratitude and to be kind. One of the ways is to give to others who need it - and people serviced by the organization chosen by Scholastic certainly do.

We will give our donation of warm and cozy pajamas to SafeHouse. This is SafeHouses's Mission:

SafeHouse Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to provide safety, support, advocacy and resources for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and their children, and to work relentlessly to change the systems and attitudes that allow this abuse to continue.

I will drop off all 45 pairs of children's pajama's to them sometime over the next couple of weeks. This is a record for Summers-Knoll K-2 families! Thank you so very much for your generosity.
