"The Nest"

Here's a quick peek into our classroom during quiet reading time to see a very recent development - sometime during the past week or so the children have started making a cozy reading "nest". Sometimes several of them, sometimes all of them, gather pillows and books and make themselves extremely comfortable cuddled up together. It is very sweet to see.

Yesterday I read aloud to all nine children while they were in this extremely small space together. They have become a lovely and cohesive group in the first months of school.
