This Week in Review - February 6 - 10

This information also found in Walter's weekly Friday email:

This week in math our preparations for Flea Market are in full swing. Children are bringing used "treasures" to assign value to. It is always so interesting to see what they deem valuable (25 cents) and not-at-all-valuable (1 cent). We are also practicing an interesting magic trick using lots of math knowledge - and sneakiness. Of course, we do daily practice in the Singapore series of books.

Work has continued on our stories at writing time, and we did the rest of our weekly routines happily - reading and illustrating poems, reading together and alone, spelling, handwriting, and correcting sentences to be grammatically correct. We are over half way through our chapter book, The Phantom Tollbooth. We also fit in a trip to the Malletts Creek branch of the AADL on Wednesday morning, and went Drum Me a Story at the Wild Swan theater on Thursday.
