Matthaei Botanical Gardens
If you have never experienced the wonder of Matthaei Botanical Gardens, I urge you to do so. There is so much to see and experience. Elaine and I took both first/second grade classes there yesterday to celebrate the season. Each child had a sketchbook and colored pencils, and we spent a very happy hour looking carefully and drawing.
We also got in a quick visit to the Children's Garden there - it was my first time. We will try to squeeze in another visit before the start of summer, so that the children can spend more time exploring.
