A perfect poem, and perfect sentiment, for this month - February being a time for valentines and other thoughts of friendship, as well as the 100th day of school (this Friday!).
We did two things today for our Super Hero project - we made valentines for the birds (using a lot of bread, egg whites, and bird seed), and reminder posters for Waste Free Lunch Fridays. As you can see by the last picture, it was a messy project. It was tempting to let some of our winter animals and birds in the building to help us clean up.
The children also ran around sprinkling bird seed and bread crumbs everywhere at morning recess. Our neighborhood birds had a FEAST today! Thank you, Super Heroes!
