Dreams

Thank you all so much for an amazing year. Your children have blossomed into wonderful, curious, and sensitive beings - and it has been my joy to be along for the ride.

Our final poem was illustrated last week. It is one of my favorites, by my favorite poet, Langston Hughes. In part:

Hold fast to dreams,
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird,
That cannot fly.

That is my biggest wish for your children - to hold fast to their dreams. They are capable of great things! To represent this wish, each child will be receiving this little homemade token from me this morning. I hope it reminds them to be kind, to try hard, and to make themselves proud. Fly!
