Different Types of Books

We have a couple new types of books in our classroom. I found a bunch of big books when I was cleaning out a room in my house, so I brought them in to share with the children. Even though many of these are old favorites (Little Red Riding Hood, Stellaluna, Quick as a Cricket, The Mitten, etc.), they were well received because of the big format.

Ella also contributed a different kind of book. To celebrate her birthday, Ella and her family donated the Roald Dahl collection of books on CD - all books read by Dahl himself. Today four children enjoyed Fantastic Mr. Fox by listening through the headphones and taking turns reading along with the print version.

We love books of all sorts in our classroom!
