Today the children came in from lunch recess, ready to settle down with a good book for Quiet Reading Time. They were surprised to see our classroom transformed into a campground - with a big tent and two smaller tents. Can you spot the readers? Some of them are quite camouflaged! I wish you all could be here right now - it is SO quiet and peaceful (except for the occasional giggle). Shhhhhhhhhh....

Very creative idea.
Love your idea for quiet reading time. I can't exactly get away with that in my 7th and 8th grade classes, but I do let the kids find a quiet place to settle in to read. Great idea!
I wonder if this would work for my 6th grader?
