This morning, the entire school went to Dreamland Theater in Ypsilanti. What a magical place! Dreamland has been around since 2002, and offers entertainment including experimental theater, independent film, live music, and - of course - puppetry. Today, we saw a wonderful and very funny play that used marionettes, rod puppets and shadow puppets. After the play, we met some of the puppets and puppeteers, and got to ask lots of questions. One of the puppets looked very, very familiar ...
While Dreamland has puppet performances geared towards adults as well as children, they offer a children's play each Sunday at 3:30. They also offer puppet making workshops at selected times. If you would like more info, please click here.
