Special Visitors

This afternoon, our class was visited by Freya's friend, Hana, and Hana's mom Amany. Amany is from Egypt, and while Hana was born in this country, she has visited Egypt and had a wealth of knowledge about the culture there. They had lots of things to show us - photographs, clothing, papyrus, a golden coffee pot, etc. We also had a lesson in how to count in Arabic, and each child got their name written in Arabic. I think the kids all learned something - like, Egypt has busy modern cities, that it isn't always hot there.

Thank you to Freya and her family for arranging this visit!
