Final Week of School

Monday, June 1- We will be having the tiniest of little parties in the afternoon in order to thank our VERY special classroom helper, Karen. Karen (as you must all know by now) is Beatrix’s grandma and has come in weekly to read, sew, and cook with our class. I hear she likes chocolate, so we may all have chocolate-y faces at pick-up time!

Tuesday, June 2 – Special P.E. Field Day – details to come from Shan.

Wednesday, June 3 – Graduation for the three 5th grade students who will be moving on to middle school. Congratulations, Shea, Nathaniel and Sarah! The ceremony will take place at 2 pm. Weather permitting, we will hold it on the grass by the gazebo, just around the corner inside the entrance to County Farm Park. Bring a pillow! We will celebrate our graduates, give certificates, and then we will return to the school for refreshments.

Thursday, June 4 – Last day of school. Weather permitting, we will probably be spending most of the morning at the County Farm Park playground. This is a half-day, pick-up between 11:30 and 11:45 (at Summers-Knoll). There will be no aftercare on this day.
