We had a wonderful time at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market yesterday! 24 students, kindergarten through 3rd grade, enjoyed a lovely early summer morning. Thank you to Erin’s mom, Susan, Lea’s mom, Kjirsten and Alec’s mom, Karen for going with us. Because we had so many helpers we were able to divide into small groups and really explore the market. Children discovered produce they have never seen before, sketched their favorite flowers and interviewed farmers to discover facts about growing and transporting goods.
After about an hour, we walked to a nearby playground at Wheeler Park to feast on some delicious fresh bread.
