Winter Wonderland

It was so nice to be outside today! After two days being trapped inside, we were thrilled to be able to run off some steam. (The kids were happy too :-)) Elaine's class and my class combined to explore our neighborhood park with Faye Stoner, Naturalist Extraordinaire. We learned to look for signs of animals in winter, and also some bird calls to listen for as a sure sign of Spring. My favorite part is when we spent 90 seconds being absolutely, positively SILENT to enjoy the sounds of nature.
