We have a wonderful facility located very nearby. Have you been to the city of Ann Arbor’s Materials Recovery Facility yet? Located at 4150 Platt Road, the MRF is a great place to learn about recycling. We will be heading there this Thursday.
Also, once a month, the MRF offers free events that you may want to consider:
November 8 – build a bird feeder with a recycled soda pop bottle
December 13 – make paper
January 10 – create magnets
February 14 – worm bin workshop (pre-ordered kit is $25.00, advance registration is required)
March 14 – tile making
April 18 – compost close up
May 16 – join Downtown Flower Planting volunteer event
June 13 – create a windsock with Scrap Box materials
All of these activities – except for the worm bins – are free.
