On Thursday, September 4th, Will's class and Susan's class will be going together to Jo-Ann Fabrics, 3737 Carpenter Road, Ypsilanti. While there, each student will get to choose 1/2 yard of his/her favorite fleece fabric, which will be magically transformed into a beautifully sewn pillow later on. We are hoping it will be a little mini lesson on measurement, making change, and cooperation!
The fleece prints are on sale next week for 40% off, so $5.99 per yard. We will also need many bags of fiberfill, needles, and thread. We figure that if each child brings in $5.00, that should cover all of the costs.
If you would like to send the money in earlier than Thursday morning, that's fine. Simply put the money in an envelope with your child's name on it and give it to one of us.
