On most Mondays, we will do what I've always called Spelling-Go-Round. This is a way for children to practice a small list of words in fun, active, multi-sensory ways. Word lists are made up of common sight words and word family or rule-driven words. Word lists were shared this morning, and the children will have their spelling challenge on Friday. Please help them practice these words throughout the week.
Here are just a few of the ways we practiced our words today:
We used sidewalk chalk. |
We used keyboards to type out our words. |
We cut up pieces of wiki-stix to form letters. |
We wrote our words in shaving cream!
