This Week in Review - 3/13 - 3/17

This information also found in Walter's weekly email.

We had a lovely mix of special activities this week, along with our normal routines. In math class, we continued work in our Singapore Math Books, worked on writing/illustrating our "How to Multiply" books, as well as reading a fun picture book about Pi on Tuesday, 3/14.

Work on our Memory Pages continued, and we practiced spelling, poetry reading, reading aloud, and handwriting - and are still enjoying listening to Henry and Ribsy on CD. Our monthly Environmental Super Hero project was a big success as children decorated their own canvas work aprons and made environmentally safe cleaning liquid. We made Irish Soda Bread in honor of St. Patrick's Day, which took measurement and teamwork skills, as well as a mini science lesson on what makes quick breads rise. We finished this round of EB's this week, but are already looking ahead to what may be in store for the next round. P.E. was very fun as the new snow made it possible for sledding - always a favorite choice.
