Environmental Super Hero Project for March

Well, it doesn't FEEL too much like Spring, but we did a little spring cleaning this morning. Perhaps this will spur on the return of the warm temperatures.

Children decorated canvas work aprons, many with environmental messages. Then we made lots of "green" cleaning solution, using the following recipe:

1/2 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons baking soda
essential oils (each child could choose their own "signature" scent)
warm water, enough to fill the bottle

After the bottles were filled, we got busy. The classroom desks, chairs, lunch tables, and doors were squirted (liberally) and wiped (haphazardly). Boy, does this place smell good!

Each student is coming home today with their decorated apron, and a bottle full of the good stuff. Put 'em to work!
