Raspberries!

And, yes, the children are giving us the raspberry!

Seriously, though, it was a very sweet morning picking raspberries at the farm. Elaine and I were remarking that this year the children picked more than any other group. It was so much fun to overhear things like:

"Over here! I found some beauties!"

"Wow - bonanza! Lift up the leaves to find a whole bunch!"

Some children took a taste challenge - with eyes closed, could they tell the difference between a golden raspberry and a red one?

Now the smell of homemade apple-raspberry sauce is filling the school. Fingers crossed, it will be ready by afternoon snack time.
