Steig-Inspired Stories - Update

The children have worked hard over many weeks on their Steig-Inspired Stories. Most of them are finished, but a few still have some writing/illustrating to do. Using a story planner was really helpful, and drafting, revising, and editing were all an important part of the process.

What makes a Steig story? Well, the characters had to be animals. There had to be a hero and at least one villain. There needed to be a problem, and a magic object to help the character out of the problem.

Here are just four of the first pages of these delightful stories. If you want to read more, you'll have to wait until the end of the year as these are part of your child's work sampling portfolio!
