Magical Afternoon at the Farm

One of the classroom parents saw us right as we were returning from Tantré Farm and asked how it was. All I could say was, "Magical."

We left right after lunch and arrived in Chelsea at 1p.m.  Farmers Katie and Allia met us there and took us on a wonderfully fun and informative tour. We tasted all sorts of different herbs, including oregano, rosemary and parsley. Many of the children had never tasted sorrel before, and deemed it yummy and lemony. We also picked peppers and really tasty and sweet mini tomatoes.

We fed the chickens and the cows. We met one of the cats. And, best of all, we all got a chance to hold a two-day-old baby chick.

Thanks so much to Antony's and Dominic's moms for meeting us there. And a special thanks to the lovely people of TantrĂ©. Please consider visiting them at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and supporting delicious local and organic produce.
