Spelling-Go-Round Continues

We continue to do a "spelling-go-round" activity each Monday. This is a way for us to practice our spelling words in many different ways. Today, for instance, children could--among other choices--write their words in shaving cream, make "rainbow" words (using all different colors), make word searches, write comic strips, and look up each word in a dictionary. Regarding this last choice, I am surprised and thrilled at how popular this activity is! The children who chose this are really getting to be experts at using the dictionary, which is a lovely added benefit.

Also surprising today was how shaving cream travels up unsuspecting arms!

Thank you for helping at home. Practice really helps! Maddy's family sent me the link to a favorite way Maddy practices at home. GO MADDY!
