Invention Convention

Stanley is looking FIERCE and is ready to demonstrate his invention!
Our Invention Convention on Friday was a huge success. Each child fulfilled the task that was set before them - they made inventions that used at least 2 simple machines, and were able to demonstrate how the machine worked.

Students presented their inventions to their peers and teachers during the morning. They needed to be able to articulate what job the machine was meant to do and to name the simple machines that were used. Questions were asked and answered, and many nice comments were given. It was very impressive. I especially loved the fact that kindergarten age children were afforded the same polite and engaged attention as the 5th graders, in true Summers-Knoll style.

Susan, I truly wish I could have been there to see & hear the children. I know you are so proud of all of them.
