Things I Love about Summers-Knoll

Today we found ourselves with about 15 minutes of unscheduled time. We made good use of this by having "quiet free time". Children love outside recess, but they also love times to explore the many toys, games and activities in our classroom. As I gazed around the room, I realized (yet again) how special and unique Summers-Knoll kids are. Here is what I noticed:

We help each other. Adrian is helping Sophie get into a costume.

If we just want to read by ourselves, that's okay too.

Boys and girls play together. Emma and Stanley build with blocks together.

We welcome visitors. Sydney and visitor Ben play chess, while Vanya looks on.
There is VERY little "boy thing" "girl thing" here. Boys play with the dress up clothes, girls play with lego and blocks. Here, Ariana and Vanya explore the fancy costumes together.
Do you notice these things too? Isn't it wonderful?
