Spelling-Go-Round Number One

Today was our first Spelling-Go-Round. I explained our spelling routine in an email, but sometimes pictures speak louder than words. Each child had only about 30 minutes this morning to practice, and many acknowledged that extra practice time at home may be necessary. The lists are now located in the cubbies. I also attached the Spelling-Go-Round sheet, just so you could see some of the practice options available this week. This is NOT homework, but just a way for you to see some of the fun ways we practice - feel free to use some of these at home if you feel it would be helpful.

The Spelling Challenge will be on Friday morning.

Emma writes her spelling on the board with some colorful chalk.

Sophie makes her own word search with her words.

Ariana masters the keyboard, in the traditional "hunt and peck" method!

Oliver G tries his hand at sign language.

It's fun looking at them so active in their studies. Hopefully they will all do well friday.
