As you probably read on Joanna's blog, we are doing a couple of different community service activities tied to Martin Luther King Jr. Day. One of these activities is decorating grocery bags with our dreams of peace.
Trader Joe's contributed 50 grocery bags to our school. Each child decorated a bag and I will return them back to Trader Joe's tomorrow. They will then be used to bag groceries, and will serve to spread our dreams throughout our community. I would love to see the faces of the lucky customers when they see their wonderfully embellished bags!
Here are just a couple photos of children working together on their bags - we did this with our K/1 buddies this afternoon.
