Visit by David from the Hands-On Museum

Today we were visited by David from the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. He spent an hour with the children in grades 2 - 5 doing an advanced and fast-paced lab about magnetism. Each child made a magnet and then made a compass. We also experimented with some VERY strong magnets, and learned about magnetic fields. There was even an electromagnet to explore. I was very impressed with the program and with the attention and curiosity displayed by our special kids.

Next Tuesday, the museum staff will be back for our next lab - this one will be about building electric circuits.
