We will head to Ann Arbor Farmers Market on Wednesday morning, October 28. While there, we will divide up into small groups and complete a scavenger hunt. Children will look for different fruits and vegetables and will interview farmers to learn more about issues surrounding food production - beneficial insects, how they take care of their soil, what certifiable organic means, etc.
More details to come, but I did want to let you know that we have this on our calendar. Our parent volunteers/group leaders will be Pare Gerou, Kristen Boudia, Kjirsten Blander and Susan Murphy. It is great to have such wonderful parent support, so trips like this can happen!
