On Friday, May 1, there is a whole-school trip to the Wild Swan Theater for The Cricket in Times Square. We will leave the school at 9:30 for a 10:00 a.m. performance. We will need a couple of drivers for this special event, so please let me know if you are willing to chaperone. This is a fun (and easy) field trip!
On Friday, May 8, Elaine’s and my class will be going to the Hands On Museum here in Ann Arbor. While we are there, we will participate in a science lab called “Bright Idea”. Students will explore light and optics as we learn how light travels, where shadows come from and what color light really is using flashlights, lenses, special glasses and more.
On Friday, May 15, Will’s and my class will be going to the Hands On Museum for the lab “Sound Science”. Students in this lab will explore the energy of sound as we make waves, listen for pitch and discover the physics of sound in the world around us.
Both field trips to the Hands On Museum will take place from 10:30 – 2:00, and include exploration of the museum. Sack lunches will need to be provided on those days, as we will be eating at the museum. Please mark your calendars!
