The Michigan Jr. chess tournament

Last Saturday, the Michigan Jr. chess tournament happened in Lansing, MI. Some of you readers probably don’t know about the Michigan Jr. chess tournament, and some more of you don’t even know what chess is.
Chess is a board game. The game itself would take minutes, maybe even hours. If you want time pressure on your opponent and yourself, a chess clock is the thing for you. It has 2 buttons on each side. After your turn, you press the button facing you. If you ran out of time, your opponent won.
Speaking of clocks, the chess tournament had a rule that if you brought a clock, each person had 60 minutes or 55 minutes and the 5 second delay.
This delay is special. When you run out of your second/s, your real time starts ticking.
You also had to keep track of each other’s moves. Those of you who don’t know how to do it might think it’s impossible. Well, it isn’t. You might think I’m insane, but I’m not insane at all. They have special ways to keep track, noticeably algebraic. I’m not going to teach you how to keep track because I’d also have to teach you how to play too.
There were 5 rounds.
I won the 1st, lost 2nd to 4th rounds and tied the 5th. I think that I did close to horrible, but my teacher thinks I’m very special anyway.
