March-ing On!

We will begin a new theme in March, of course, but this one nicely dovetails with the last. We shift our focus ever-so-slightly to the Rain Forest. Details on this to follow at a later date.

There are some special events and field trips to put on your radar:

I am planning a trip to the Humane Society of Huron Valley to drop off our pet supplies. I have contacted them about the possibility of the afternoon of Friday, March 6, but haven’t yet heard back. Please consider donating supplies if you have not yet done so.

Will’s class and my class will be going to Jazz at Lincoln Center on Tuesday, March 10th. The concert will be at Hill Auditorium, from 11 – 12. Lunch will be at school, but a little later than usual.

On Friday, March 13th, the entire school will be taking a docent-led field trip to Matthaei Botanical Garden. In general, to enjoy the greenery and tranquility it inspires, and specifically to learn more about plants of the rain forest.

On Friday, March 20th, Elaine’s class and my class will be going to a rain forest critter workshop at the Scrap Box. We will learn more about recycling and reusing as well as shopping for all the recycled goodies that will fit in our own small shopping bag. This trip is from 9:30 – 11.

On Friday March 27th, we will be going to Jack and the Beanstalk at the Wild Swan Theater.
