The last day before winter break promises to be a fun one! In the morning, the children will all get to decorate a cookie cottage made from graham crackers.
This is my family tradition that I love to share. I will make the cottages over the next couple weeks, and will supply all of the "glue" (frosting). Please remember that I would like each family to supply a bag or two of decorating candies. You can bring them in at any time. So far, we have mini marshmallows, red licorice laces, and some Dots.
We are also planning an afternoon of sledding at Leslie Golf Course. Your child will need to come to school with SNOW CLOTHES, WARM MITTENS, and a SLED or SAUCER. This is a school-wide event.
Parents, grandparents, and siblings are more than welcome to attend! If you can help shuttle kids over, that would be great – or just meet us there. Please let me know.
We will leave S-K after lunch, around 1:00p.m. At 3:00, we will shuttle any child not picked up by a parent or guardian back to school. We will have a sign-out sheet at the hill. It is crucial that you sign your child out when you leave.
Of course, everyone should drop back in at school in order to pick up items from your child's cubby and the beautifully decorated cookie cottages!
Please note - there will be no aftercare on the 19th in order to give everyone a good start to our relaxing and joyous holiday.
