So Many Bones!

Today in Science class, Shan had two separate activities for us. We are in the middle of a heredity simulation, so we did a piece of that - before heading to a special human body/slightly Halloween-y science-art project. I'll show a clip and some photos from the second activity.

First, we watched


After a brief discussion where students considered what would happen if their body didn't have bones, we followed a step-by-step tutorial to make skeleton hands.




After tracing their hands, students drew in each bone. Using crayon to color in all around each bone and then putting oil on the uncolored bone part, they create something that looks quite like an x-ray.
