May met us with some strange and changeable weather, but that didn't dampen our spirits. On Monday, we combined penmanship practice with flower arrangement and good deeds, and brought back a centuries-old tradition of giving May Baskets.
This week we also planted some bean seeds in preparation for the big 1st/2nd grade seed and seedling sale (stay tuned for details, but pencil in Wednesday, May 17th).
Special events included a visit from Amanda from the Ann Arbor District Library who told us all about the summer reading program.
We visited the Wild Swan Theater with Elaine's class to see Marketplace Stories on Thursday.
In math, we continued work with 1-die data collection, plus work in our Singapore books. Next week, on to 2-dice data collection.
