Birthday celebrations are usually filled with traditions - a special dinner out, perhaps, or a particular chocolate cake.

favorite ways is the tradition of bringing a favorite book to donate to the
classroom. If the birthday child inscribes the book (such as, "To my class on
the occasion of my 7th birthday", for instance), that makes it even more
special. I read the book to the class, and then it will be placed in a
designated spot in our classroom library.
Of course, it is not necessary or required to do anything, but these are just a couple of suggestions.
