Our annual trip to Howell Nature Center is fun, sure, but it is also a wonderful way to get to know each other, and support each other. This year, our 1st/2nd graders participated in three different activities - the ever-popular zip line (an annual tradition), learning about raptors, and finding out what to do if one finds a hurt animal in the wild.
I was very, very impressed with my group this year. Each child made their school and themselves very proud by being good sports, cheering each other on, listening to instructions, being quiet when around animals, and asking great questions.
All in all, our trip earned a big THUMBS UP!
