Please help your child pick out a great poem to read on Thursday, April 30th. Copy it, or write it down, and tuck it in a pocket. We will take turns reading throughout the day!
If YOU would agree to come in a read a favorite poem to the children, that would make the day even more special! We have the hour after lunch available (from 12:30 - 1:30). I'll make a pot of tea, and we can share some cookies! It was a wonderful event last year - please consider coming in.
Keep A Poem In Your Pocket
By Beatrice Schenk de Regniers
Keep a poem in your pocket
And a picture in your head
And you'll never feel lonely
At night when you're in bed.
The little poem will sing to you
The little picture bring to you
A dozen dreams to dance to you
At night when you're in bed.
So - -
Keep a picture in your pocket
And a poem in your head
And you'll never feel lonely
At night when you're in bed.
