Today was a very special day - we got to choose the animal we are going donate to a needy family. I counted up the donations and it came to (drum roll, please) - $500.00!
I gave the children three choices - a "knitting basket" (2 llamas and 2 sheep), a pair of water buffaloes, or a heifer. We read about all three choices, and then it was voting time. (This was a great opportunity to talk about the voting process, the day after election day!)
And the winning choice was:
