Up Periscope!

This morning we each got to make a working periscope. Using simple materials (milk carton, two mirrors, scissors, and tape), the students experimented and modified until they achieved their objective. Now, using the powers of reflection, we are super sneaky. Beware!

We got the instructions from a PBS site, and this particular project was linked to Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman. We watched the episode about making contraptions (including a periscope) to solve a mystery. It was my first exposure to this show, and, I have to admit - I really liked it.
