Dragons and Drawings

Pearl's parents have arranged a really amazing experience for the first and second graders, to happen later on in the year (late March, in all likelihood). Martin Cheek, a mosaic artist in the UK, will be doing a workshop in mosaics with Tracy and the students in her 1/2 art classes! As well as the workshop, he is also commissioning a piece for Summers-Knoll inspired by ideas from the students. The theme for his work will be a dragon (our new school mascot), so he asked for drawings and sketches from our young artists to inspire him. We were very glad to do so!
