Our Final Fun Friday of the Year

We had a lovely day today. Friday is the favorite day of many of the children due to its more relaxed nature. Today was no exception - in fact, I overheard more than one exclamation that this was the "best day ever".

One of the projects some of the children wanted to do was to make daisy chains. This is a lost art! No one had ever made them before, so I taught those who were interested how. Sophie said something like, "I feel like Mary and Laura!" and indeed, this is something that I'm pretty sure little children on the prairie have always done.
